Our Virtual Baby at Week 21
It’s a GIRL!
About 12 ounces and the size of a large carrot, she often hiccups as a means to practice breathing and swallows amniotic fluid in order to practice eating. To stay warm, she is developing body fat and a thin layer of hair called lanugo. She is a miniature version of a fully formed baby who could fit into the palm of your hand.

Tragically, it is still legal to abort this baby in Pennsylvania for ANY reason.

                        Week in Review

Our  Lord told us that what we’ve heard in secret we need to shout from the  rooftops. We begin our Week in Review today revealing some truths that  were spoken quietly in California but need to be repeated loudly so  everyone in America will know.

ALL in the News                                                                                                          Jim Sedlak has been interviewed multiple  times since Fox News discovered that Planned Parenthood improperly  received $80 million in federal stimulus money. Sedlak has appeared in  multiple articles as an authority on the subject.

Pro-Life Social Media                                                                                                          Social media companies’ bias against  pro-life organizations has been apparent for over a decade. We’ve seen  our YouTube videos suspiciously yanked and reinstated, not to mention  the shutting down of our Pinterest account.

Video of the Week                                                                                                          On this Re:Stream of Friday’s  Instagram Live, Katie Brown lists five tips to keep in mind while  discussing abortion violence and other sensitive topics.

                       Action Item of the Week

As  abortion continues to take the lives of hundreds of thousands of  preborn children of God, you are invited to join a truly holy activity  that has brought many victories through the centuries and could end  abortion here in the United States.

Dear Family of Mary!

“…Little children be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time…” (May 25, 2020)

Our Lady’s beautiful words from the May 25, 2020 message show us our exalted calling in Christ. We are called to be prayer, joy and light!

Jesus told His apostles:And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high.” (Lk 24:29)

This Power from on high is the Holy Spirit which fell upon the Apostles in the upper room on Pentecost. This Power taught them to pray as they had never prayed before. This Power enabled the Apostles to witness to Christ’s life, death and resurrection in any situation no matter how hostile. This Power gave them a joy that filled them and never stopped flowing out of them, no matter what situation they were in. This Power made them shine with an inner light that enlightened all those to whom they spoke.

They became prayer for those who did not pray, joy for all those who did not see the way out, and carriers of light in the darkness of the peacelessness of their time.

And this same Power comes over us at Baptism! This Power blesses the Bread and Wine, bringing us our Eucharistic Lord at Holy Mass. This Power strengthens us as Christian witnesses at Confirmation. This is the Power that infuses our marriages with true love. This is the power that transforms holy men into our Priests and gives our religious brothers and sisters the gifts they need to serve. This Power heals us when we are sick. And this Power guides us every moment of our lives, making us prayer, joy and light for all who need it so badly. This is the Holy Spirit!

As we prepare for Pentecost, let’s pray this Litany to the Holy Spirit, asking for all the gifts, virtues, and blessings we need to become prayer, joy and light for the world we live in today:

Litany to the Holy Spirit

Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.

Father all-powerful, have mercy on us.
Jesus, Eternal Son of the Father, Redeemer of the world, save us.
Spirit of the Father and the Son, boundless life of both, sanctify us.
Holy Trinity, hear us.

Holy Spirit, Who proceedest from the Father and the Son, enter our hearts.
Holy Spirit, Who art equal to the Father and the Son, enter our hearts.

Promise of God the Father, have mercy on us.
Ray of heavenly light, have mercy on us.
Author of all good, [etc.]
Source of heavenly water Consuming fire
Ardent charity
Spiritual unction
Spirit of love and truth
Spirit of wisdom and understanding
Spirit of counsel and fortitude
Spirit of knowledge and piety
Spirit of the fear of the Lord
Spirit of grace and prayer
Spirit of peace and meekness
Spirit of modesty and innocence
Holy Spirit, the Comforter
Holy Spirit, the Sanctifier
Holy Spirit, Who governest the Church
Gift of God, the Most High
Spirit Who fillest the universe
Spirit of the adoption of the children of God

Holy Spirit, inspire us with horror of sin.
Holy Spirit, come and renew the face of the earth.
Holy Spirit, shed Thy light in our souls.
Holy Spirit, engrave Thy law in our hearts.
Holy Spirit, inflame us with the flame of Thy love.
Holy Spirit, open to us the treasures of Thy graces.
Holy Spirit, teach us to pray well.
Holy Spirit, enlighten us with Thy heavenly inspirations.
Holy Spirit, lead us in the way of salvation.
Holy Spirit, grant us the only necessary knowledge.
Holy Spirit, inspire in us the practice of good.
Holy Spirit, grant us the merits of all virtues.
Holy Spirit, make us persevere in justice.
Holy Spirit, be Thou our everlasting reward.

Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
Send us Thy Holy Spirit.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
pour down into our souls the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Lamb of God, Who takest away the sins of the world,
grant us the Spirit of wisdom and piety.

V. Come, Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of Thy faithful,
R. And enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.

Let us pray. Grant, O merciful Father, that Thy Divine Spirit may enlighten, inflame and purify us, that He may penetrate us with His heavenly dew and make us fruitful in good works, through Our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who with Thee, in the unity of the same Spirit, liveth and reigneth, one God, forever and ever.
R. Amen.

Dear Family of Mary!

“…In your hearts, little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the Spirit…” (May 25, 2020)

We still have time to prepare for the coming of the Holy Spirit on Sunday!! We can do an Examination of Conscience to help us uncover what needs to change and give the Holy Spirit room to work in our hearts. (If you can go to confession, that would be even better!!) Who knows, the face of the earth may get lighter and brighter if we do!!

There are many guides to examination of conscience. The Ten Commandments are basic and so are the Beatitudes. But here is an examination written by Raymond Leo Cardinal Burke, D.D., J.C.D. It is based on looking at our relationships. I like it because it gives a good context for determining what needs to change!! Our Lady told us we know what needs to be changed!! But this will help us to be precise!!

An Examination of Conscience

My relationship with God:

Did I love God above all things today?
Did I seek to love Him in all that I did?
Did I put myself at His service?
Was I aware of His presence?
Did I turn to Him?
Did I tell Him that I love Him?
Was He the center of my life today?
Did I neglect or omit my spiritual practices today?
Did worldly anxieties, or fears, keep me from following God’s will?
Did I lack trust in God’s love for me today?
Was I critical of the Church’s pastors, in thought or word?
Did I complain and murmur when I experienced difficulties today, instead of patiently accepting every event and “happening” as coming from God?
Was I open to God’s inspiration today?

My relationship with my neighbor:
Did I fail in “being Christ” to my family members or my neighbor?
Did I love others for God’s sake?
Did I practice self-forgetfulness, or did I practice self-pity and self-absorption?
Was I obstinate, hardhearted, hateful, jealous, injurious, backbiting, violent or unjust in words or actions?
Was I lacking in charity, forgiveness, or honesty?
Did I gossip and cause injury to another’s reputation or goods?
Was I impure or unchaste in any thought, word, or action?
Did I steal from, or cheat, someone?
Did I behave in a manner that reflects badly upon or could give scandal to the Church? Was I excessive in my zeal, or uncharitable in my witness of the Faith?
Was I disobedient to the directives of those in authority over me?
Have I been cooperative and generous with my time, energy, and talents in the work of the Church, especially in the apostolate of catechesis?

My relationship with myself:
Did I fail to make an honest effort to grow in one of the moral virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance or the theological virtues of faith, hope and charity?
Did I fall into discouragement?
Did I fail to go forward in serenity and trust in God?
Did I fail to practice some form of mortification?
Did I fail to try to overcome one of my chief faults?
Was I prideful, envious, vain, greedy, angry, intemperate, gluttonous, slothful, impatient, or immodest?
Did I fail to cultivate the virtue of humility? (Humility is the foundation of all the virtues. The virtue of humility teaches us to consider ourselves inferior to everyone, at all times.)

Only two more days before Pentecost!! Let’s pray for one another!!

We pray together to the Holy Spirit:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful
and kindle in them the fire of Thy love.

V. Send forth Thy Spirit and we shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.

Let us pray. O God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit didst instruct the hearts of thy faithful, grant by the same Spirit that we will be truly wise, and ever to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

Dear Family of Mary!

Once again, here is the message given on May 25, 2020:

“Dear children! Pray with me for a new life for all of you. In your hearts, little children, you know what needs to be changed. Return to God and His Commandments, so that the Holy Spirit may change your lives and the face of this earth, which is in need of renewal in the Spirit.

Little children be prayer for all those who do not pray; be joy for all those who do not see the way out; be carriers of light in the darkness of this peaceless time.

Pray and seek the help and protection of the saints so that you also could yearn for Heaven and Heavenly realities. I am with you and am protecting and blessing all of you with my motherly blessing. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

  (May 25, 2020)

Our Lady is a powerful intercessor before God. Because of her sinlessness and purity, Our Lady is ‘in sync’ with God! Her will is always joyfully submitted to the Lord! “Be it done to me according to your word.” She lives in complete union with God. And so, when she asks us to: “Pray with me for a new life for all of you….”, we know that this prayer intention is straight from the Father. To pray WITH Our Lady is to join in a prayer that will go straight into the Father’s heart! He will not reject this prayer.

The question is, do we want a new life? Do we want to change? Do we want to convert and return to God? Because if we pray with Our Lady for a new life, God will answer with the grace of conversion and repentance! Are we ready?!!

Let’s let Our Lady speak to us about our new life through her messages, and pray for our hearts to open to the possibility!

A little Litany for a New Life:

Our Lady: Pray, dear children, and have more trust in me because I am here in order to help you and to guide you on a new path toward a new life. (10/25/92)
Response: Mother, help me to trust in the new path to the new life you are offering me.

Our Lady: I love you and that is why I am with you, in order to teach you and to lead you to a new life of conversion and renunciation. (11/25/92)
Response: Mother, teach me how to convert and to renounce all that keeps me from a new life.

Our Lady: I call you, little children, to open your hearts to God the Creator for Him to transform and mold you in His image, so that all the good which has fallen asleep in your hearts may awaken to a new life and a longing towards eternity. (02/25/2010)
Response: Mother, help me say “yes” to the Father so that He can wake up my sleeping heart to a new life in His image.

Our Lady: You are precious and I call you, little children, to holiness, to eternal life. Therefore, be aware that this life is passing. I love you and call you to a new life of conversion (05/25/2014)
Response: Mother, help me feel your love for me, that I am precious and called, so that I will choose to follow you into a new life.

Our Lady: “Dear children! In this time of grace, I am calling all of you to open your hearts to God’s mercy, to begin a new life through prayer, penance and a decision for holiness. This time of spring moves you to a new life, to a renewal, in your thoughts and hearts. Therefore, little children, I am with you to help you to say ‘yes’ to God and to God’s commandments with resoluteness. You are not alone; I am with you through the grace which the Most High gives me for you and your descendants. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (03/25/2017)
Response: Holy Mother, help me to say “yes” to God with resoluteness, and be renewed.

Our Lady: “Dear children! I am calling you to be with me in prayer in this time of grace when darkness is fighting against the light. Pray, little children, confess and begin a new life in grace. Decide for God and He will lead you towards holiness; and the cross will be a sign of victory and hope for you. Be proud that you are baptized and grateful in your heart that you are a part of God’s plan. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (03/25/2018)
Response: Dear Mother, thank you for calling me to be with you in prayer in this time of grace…help me accept God’s grace!!

Our Lady: You have a great grace of being called to a new life through the messages which I am giving you. This, little children, is a time of grace, a time and a call to conversion for you and the future generations. (10/25/18)
Response: Thank you, Mother, for bringing this great grace of conversion to us. May we respond to your call.

Our Lady: “Dear children! Today, I am calling you to a new life. It is not important how old you are, open your heart to Jesus who will transform you in this time of grace and, like nature, you will be born into a new life in God’s love, and you will open your heart to Heaven and the things of Heaven. I am still with you, because God permitted me out of love for you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (02/25/2019)
Response: Thank you, Mother, for calling me to a new life. Thank you, dearest Lord, for permitting Mary to be with us!

Our Lady: Do not resist hope and peace. Along with your prayer and fasting, by His cross, my Son will cast away the darkness that wants to surround you and come to rule over you. He will give you the strength for a new life. (03/02/2013)
Response: Mother, help me not to resist hope and peace, to be humble, to pray and fast for the strength of a new life.

Our Lady: Today I am calling you to live your new life with Jesus. May the Risen One give you strength to always be strong in the trials of life and to be faithful and persevering in prayer; because Jesus saved you by His wounds and by His Resurrection gave you new life. (04/25/2018)
Response: Thank you, Jesus for giving me a new life by your Cross and Resurrection. I say Yes to You!

Amen.

Piece of My Heart

by Judie Brown

Read online and share: https://all.org/piece-of-my-heart/

By Judie Brown

Janis Joplin’s iconic song “Piece of My Heart” was  never intended to be about literally stopping a beating heart. Rather,  it was about a heart breaking due to unrequited love.

But  in the world of abortion-on-demand, where preborn babies are fair game,  the stakes are a bit different. The results have little to do with love  of the vulnerable but rather self-love.

These days, “the medical field largely treats abortion as a specialty, not an essential part of a doctor’s toolkit.”  But  for younger medical students, things are a bit different. There seems  to be a greater commitment to providing patients with the full array of  services. Dr. Jewel Brown,  for example, is a third-year medical student in Florida in the field of  obstetrics and gynecology. Her goal is “to be the kind of doctor a  patient can trust with anything, whether it’s a prenatal checkup, a  C-section—or an abortion.”

And there it is. For some, there is no perceived difference between medical services for women and abortion when it comes to “reproductive health”—the  current code words that include abortion as nothing more than part of  the full range of services every woman should have at her disposal.

At the Women’s Options Center at  the University of California San Francisco, for example, abortion is  the main focus. Several investigative reports into this particular  entity have given us a bird’s-eye view into the dark world where  abortion becomes a marketing opportunity as well as an alleged  reproductive service. While UCSF’s Jennifer Kerns has said that the abortionist who performs a dilation and extraction abortion suffers an emotional burden from  performing the killing, she neglects to note that the burden of death  is actually imposed on the preborn child. Clearly building up a callous  disregard for the human person requires time.

While  we have no sympathy for these practitioners, we can learn that, even as  they allegedly become emotionally disturbed, they train others on how to treat aborted baby body parts as  nothing more than products. This paves the way for the marketing of  baby body parts—a practice that continues to be rampant even after the Center for Medical Progressexposed  the practice and provided undeniable proof that Planned Parenthood and  others were profiting. Though these videos prompted congressional inquiries, the sordid practice has continued.

In an article entitled “A Real Life American Horror Story,” Pro-Life San Francisco published a comprehensive overview of UCSF’s practices. This excellent report, in part, states:

For  decades, UCSF has been involved in fetal tissue research. Several  high-visibility experiments, with study protocols exploiting aborted  fetuses at a range of gestational ages and hundreds of animal test subjects, have been published online.
The  Division of Experimental Medicine is known to have received fetal  organs from UCSF’s own abortion centers as well as California-based Advanced Bioscience Resources—Planned Parenthood’s partner and the #1 baby body parts distributor in America.

The  journey from treating abortion as a medical specialty to capitalizing  on the bodies of abortion victims is not a stretch but a short walk down  a very repulsive path. The 1973 Supreme Court started  escalating the war against the preborn, and over the past 47 years we  have seen that war grow more barbarous as consciences numb.

Doctor  Jewel Brown, Professor Jennifer Kerns, and the folks at UCSF—including  Women’s Options Center—all have one thing in common: They have freely  chosen to break the hearts of preborn babies by killing them. The research on and sale of their body parts became a grisly practice that was not a bridge too far.

The  lesson here is a simple one: Killing people by calling them something  other than people does not change the horror of it. Abortion numbs  consciences and stops beating hearts. As a nation, we have collectively  murdered millions.

The  result: A piece of our nation’s heart has gone missing. The cure: Those  of us who respect life and human dignity stay the course until no  little heart or big heart is cut to pieces ever again.
