Women's Rights Without Frontiers | Forced Abortion Is Not A Choice | www.womensrightswithoutfrontiers.org

Reggie Greets Zhang Lin at the JFK Airport
NEW YORK. Veteran Chinese activist, Zhang Lin, arrived in New York Friday evening, according to Reggie Littlejohn, President of Women’s Rights Without Frontiers. Littlejohn and her husband, Robert, have been raising Zhang Lin’s younger daughter, Anni (age 15), since September 2013, and welcomed his older daughter, Ruli (age 23), into their home for about eighteen months to help her transition to life in the United States. Littlejohn worked tirelessly to bring Anni and Ruli to the United States, and has done the same for their father as well.

Shortly before Zhang Lin’s arrival, Littlejohn stated, “Zhang Lin is a brave hero who has sacrificed deeply on behalf of human rights in China. I am overjoyed that he will be able to hug his precious daughters tomorrow. He will be so proud of them. Anni was just a ten-year-old child when Zhang Lin last saw her. Now, she is fifteen and a lovely young woman. She speaks perfect English, is a straight-A student, and performed piano in Carnegie Hall in 2016. Meanwhile, Ruli has a great job and has earned her real estate license. Meanwhile, she is going to school part time to earn a degree in accounting. Both Anni and Ruli are active members of our Church. They have made a brilliant transition to life in the United States. My husband and I feel it has been a privilege to be their American father and mother.”

Concerning her father’s arrival, Anni said, “I can’t believe this is happening. I’ve been waiting for this day for four years!”  Read more.

40 Days for Life 4112 E 29th St. Bryan, Texas 77802 United States (888) LIFE-316

MONTGOMERY, Ala., Jan. 31, 2018 /Christian Newswire/ — The Foundation for Moral Law (“the Foundation”), joined by Personhood Alabama Education, Inc. (“Personhood Alabama”) and Proposal 16, jointly filed an amicus brief in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit yesterday urging the court to protect the lives of unborn children in Alabama. The case, West Alabama Women’s Center v. Miller, involves a lawsuit over an Alabama law prohibiting D&E abortions, which involves killing the baby by ripping it apart limb by limb while it is still alive. Federal District Judge Myron Thompson declared the law unconstitutional, and the State has appealed to the Eleventh Circuit.

The amicus brief filed by the three pro-life organizations presented the Eleventh Circuit with two main arguments. First, it argued that Roe v. Wade left some room for the states to decide whether unborn children are “persons” within the meaning of the law, which, by Roe’s own terms, would require the child’s life to be protected by the Fourteenth Amendment. The second argument reminded the Court that, ultimately, its duty is to obey the United States Constitution, not Supreme Court decisions that are contrary to the Constitution like the Roe v. Wade abortion decision. The brief urges the Eleventh Circuit to reverse the District Court and uphold the Alabama statute that protects the life of the unborn child.

The Foundation is a non-profit legal organization based in Montgomery, Alabama, devoted to the defense of religious liberty and promoting a strict interpretation of the Constitution as intended by its Framers. Foundation President Kayla Moore said, “Every child, born and unborn, has a God-given right to life that nobody may take away. The Declaration of Independence recognizes unalienable rights, endowed by the Creator, that include life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Roe v. Wade enshrines the futile pursuit of false pleasure above the right to life and is therefore contrary to the basic principles upon which this nation was founded. We pray the Eleventh Circuit will allow Alabama to protect the right to life of all persons.”

Personhood Alabama is a non-profit organization in Alabama that advocates for the recognition of the personhood of the unborn through legislation and litigation. Bill Fortenberry, the President of Personhood Alabama, said, “One of the reasons that the Supreme Court rejected the argument that unborn children were ‘persons’ in Roe v. Wade was that the Texas laws at issue in that case did not expressly recognize or treat unborn children as persons. In contrast, the State of Alabama has passed multiple statutes recognizing the personhood of the unborn, and the Alabama Supreme Court has repeatedly recognized unborn children as persons. We hope that the Eleventh Circuit will recognize that unborn children in Alabama have the legal status of personhood, which by Roe’s own terms requires the case for abortion to collapse.”

Proposal 16 is a non-profit pro-life organization in Alabama that urges Governor Ivey to use her executive power to protect the lives of the unborn. Maggie Ford, Proposal 16’s Executive Director, said, “The lives of the unborn are already protected by the Constitution of the United States. The Supreme Court’s abortion decisions cannot be reconciled with the Constitution itself, and we hope that the Eleventh Circuit will choose to stand for the rule of law and for life instead of following the Supreme Court’s deadly decisions.”

Matthew Clark, who wrote the brief as attorney for the Foundation, said, “Many people think that the Constitution requires the country to follow the Supreme Court’s decisions, even if they are blatantly unconstitutional. But Article VI of the Constitution actually says that every governmental official, including federal judges, must uphold the Constitution itself. It does not say the same about plainly unconstitutional Supreme Court decisions.”

Clark also added, “When our country was founded, the rule was that precedents must be followed unless they were plainly contrary to the law itself. The Constitution did not change that, but instead requires every official to follow the Constitution itself instead of Supreme Court decisions when the two cannot be reconciled.”

Dear Family of Mary!

“…Open your hearts and read the Sacred Scripture, that through the testimonies you also may be closer to God…” (January 25, 2018)

The Sacred Scriptures are indescribable. They are revealed truth! In them we find God’s truth made tangible in teachings and in stories. I think it is the stories that Our Lady is referring to as the “testimonies”. The stories in the Bible are true and also enact the Truth for us. Old and New Testaments contain God’s word for us, God’s way of seeing things, God’s heart of love.

There are many testimonies in the Bible, stories of conversion like Regina Collins’ story that I quoted yesterday. And right away I think of the story of St. Paul’s conversion. It is very much like Regina’s story. St. Paul not only did not believe in Jesus; he was persecuting everyone who did. Regina did not like God at all. She was angry with God and took it out on others. Both of them were hard cases to crack.

But in both cases we see how God, in his tender mercy, found a way to reveal Himself to them. Here is St. Paul’s “testimony” found in Acts 22:3-16:

“I am a Jew, born at Tarsus in Cili’cia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gama’li-el, educated according to the strict manner of the law of our fathers, being zealous for God as you all are this day. I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and delivering to prison both men and women, as the high priest and the whole council of elders bear me witness. From them I received letters to the brethren, and I journeyed to Damascus to take those also who were there and bring them in bonds to Jerusalem to be punished.

“As I made my journey and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone about me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, `Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?’ And I answered, `Who are you, Lord?’ And he said to me, `I am Jesus of Nazareth whom you are persecuting.’

“Now those who were with me saw the light but did not hear the voice of the one who was speaking to me. And I said, `What shall I do, Lord?’ And the Lord said to me, `Rise, and go into Damascus, and there you will be told all that is appointed for you to do.’

“And when I could not see because of the brightness of that light, I was led by the hand by those who were with me, and came into Damascus.

“And one Anani’as, a devout man according to the law, well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, came to me, and standing by me said to me, `Brother Saul, receive your sight.’ And in that very hour I received my sight and saw him. And he said, `The God of our fathers appointed you to know his will, to see the Just One and to hear a voice from his mouth; for you will be a witness for him to all men of what you have seen and heard. And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on his name.’

St. Paul had a dramatic meeting with Jesus in the desert. He was knocked down, and blinded by God’s bright light. He was infused with understanding of who Jesus is, and what God was doing. I wonder if the light felt something like what Regina described, a living, flowing energy that enveloped her in the love of God. It would seem so, because immediately Paul believed and loved the Lord and would do anything He asked.

Such testimonies do bring us closer to God. We see God’s tender mercy for His children. And then we can open our hearts to the possibility that He loves each of us in the same way. It is mercy that flows through conversion stories, the mercy of an ever-loving God who won’t give up until we are safe with Him in Heaven.

Dear family of Mary!

“Dear children! May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion. Open your hearts and read the Sacred Scripture, that through the testimonies you also may be closer to God. Above everything, little children, seek God and the things of God and leave earthly ones to the earth, because Satan is attracting you to the dust and sin. You are called to holiness and created for Heaven; therefore, seek Heaven and the things of Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

“May this time be for you a time of prayer, so that the Holy Spirit, through prayer, may descend upon you and give you conversion.”

In prayer, the Holy Spirit can descend upon us and give us conversion! Have you ever thought that that is what can go on when you pray? I forget the power of the Holy Spirit. Shame on me! The Holy Spirit is the converter! He does miracles in us, drawing us into the love of God.

Here is an account of just such a miracle of conversion that took place in Medjugorje, for Regina Collins. She did not want to be in Medjugorje. She was not open. She was angry and broken. But she went to one Mass in St. James Church, and that was all it took. The Holy Spirit descended. Here are her words describing that moment:

We were brought to our group Mass, and I was thinking, “Oh, one Mass today and one Mass tomorrow, and then I’m home and dry. But this is what God was preparing me for. Our little group was brought into St. James Church, the large church here, and we had our group Mass there. During the course of Mass people were coming in and out, approaching the statue of Our Lady.

So when it came to the time of consecration, our priest asked us in Irish to get up from our seats and to walk up onto the steps of the altar. I had to go because I couldn’t remain there on my own in the seat. And as I walked towards the altar and went to place my foot on the floor of that altar, I suddenly had the feeling that I was standing on holy ground. It made me gasp. I could breathe it in and out. Then we were told to join hands for the Our Father, which I did. And the tears started to come again. But this time I wasn’t afraid. And this time I didn’t try to fight them.

When we finished saying the Our Father, I looked to my left and to my right and for the first time in my life I felt love in my heart for the people around me. We greeted each other and made peace with each other and embraced each other, and by then the tears were really flowing.

And I don’t really remember what happened after that. All I remember is receiving Holy Communion, and this is the truly difficult part to explain. When I received Holy Communion everything disappeared. The church disappeared, the ground beneath my feet disappeared. I was no longer aware of being in a physical building or in a physical place. All I could see was white light. The whitest, brightest, most beautiful light you could possibly imagine. It was under my feet. It was completely surrounding me. It was above me. The only way I can explain it is if you dive into a pool, you are completely in the water. It was this never ending dazzling light.

And at the same time I felt a powerful energy flowing down into my body on my right side and a powerful energy flowing up through my body and out on my left side. And at the same time I felt so tiny, so insignificant. Somehow I knew that all the pride in my heart was being taken out and I was being filled with love. This love that God has is completely and totally indescribable. There are no words in any language that can describe the love of God the Father. There can be no painting, there can be no music, no song. It is completely indescribable. It is overwhelming. It is a joy that cannot be described.

And I felt so tiny and so insignificant, it was like being cradled in the arms of a father. The only way I can explain it is if you remember when you were a little child and got lost in a shop, and you are very brave, but when your father or mother found you and scooped you up, then the tears would come and you would feel the love of the parent.

I don’t know how long this went on for, except that I felt a tap on my shoulder, and I found myself looking up, and it was my sister. And she said, “Regina, what are you doing on the floor?” And then I looked and I realized that somehow I had dropped to the floor and had my forehead pressed to the floor on the altar of the church. She had to help me up, and no one was left in the Church everybody had left.

And that is when the tears really began to flow, and she left me there for quite some time, and it was waves and waves and waves of tears, but it was joyful. It wasn’t upset tears. I just can’t describe it. (Fruit of Medjugorje, Episode 182, Regina Collins. http://marytv.tv/?page_id=167  )

I highly recommend this conversion story of Regina Collins. It is #182 in the Fruit of Medjugorje Playlist. God comes to us in prayer. He will do whatever is necessary to convert us, in prayer. All we need to do is let Him!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
