Pediatrician: Jahi McMath is Not Brain Dead, Can Recover With Proper Care
A leading pediatrician says that Jahi McMath, who is at the center of a national debate about whether she should remain on life support, is not brain dead and can recover with proper care and nutrition. Late Monday afternoon, the judge in the case granted an extension for life support after a legal request from her familys attorney.

MSNBC Host Apologizes for Mocking Mitt Romneys Family for Adopting Black Baby
A pro-abortion MSNBC host apologized today for mocking the family of Mitt Romney for adopting a baby who is black.
MSNBC host Melissa Harris Perry, who wore tampon earrings during a July broadcast, mocked the Romney family.She sent out the following tweets this morning:

The family of Terri Schiavo, who made international headlines when he husband starved and dehydrated her to death over the course of two weeks, has been quietly helping the family of Jahi McMath find a new hospital or medical facility that will provide her care.

Court: Obama Admin Cant Make Pro-Life Group Pay Fines for Not Obeying HHS Mandate
In a huge victory for Priests for Life, a pro-life organization, a federal appeals court has issued a ruling saying it doesnt have to pay massive fines to the federal government for not obeying the HHS mandate, which forces religious groups and companies to pay for birth control or abortion-causing drugs for their employees.
An emergency injunction granted late this afternoon in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit means that Priests for Life will not have to obey the contraception mandate contained in the Affordable Care Act as its appeal is being heard. Bill de Blasio, New Yorks incoming mayor, apparently loves animals more than people. He thinks horse-drawn carriages in Central Park are inhumane. But abortions in New York City, which is the abortion capital of America given its ridiculously high abortion rates? No problem.

Shannon Skinner had an abortion when she was eight weeks pregnant, or so she thought. She already had a four-month-old baby and she and partner Anthony were having problems so they decided abortion was the best answer as opposed to a second baby.
But after the abortion, Skinner continued to have morning sickness and to feel the unborn babys movements. New Year’s Eve
Dear Family of Mary,
“Dear children! Today I wish to call on all of you that in the New Year you live the messages which I am giving you. Dear children, you know that for your sake I have remained a long time so I might teach you how to make progress on the way of holiness. Therefore, dear children, pray without ceasing and live the messages which I am giving you for I am doing it with great love toward God and toward you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (January 1, 1987)
This is New Year’s Eve! People all over the world look upon the New Year as an opportunity for a fresh start, for renewed hope, for the re-commitment to life and to love. They may not realize that they are being infused with the new life that comes from God, but He is giving it to them unawares. God always wants us to believe in the new life that is available to us. That new life comes from His great love. And it shows up on New Year’s Day as the deep sense of possibility that fills us all.
Our Lady told us in the message above, that her gift to us for the New Year is her messages. She gives us these messages so that we can move forward in the journey towards holiness, towards God. Our Lady’s messages are like road signs or maps that give us the possibility to find the Kingdom of God. Her messages make real the new life that we seek! They show us the way to resurrection life in Jesus!
A tradition for the New Year:
“Dear children! Also today I am with you and call all of you to complete conversion. Decide for God, little children, and you will find in God the peace your heart seeks. Imitate the lives of saints and may they be an example for you; and I will inspire you as long as the Almighty permits me to be with you. Thank you for having responded to my call.” (September 25, 2006)
There is a wonderful Catholic tradition of picking a saint at the beginning of the New Year, to be a help and guide in that year. Many saints themselves practiced this tradition. I am going to pick a saint to be our saint for the reflections this year! I can’t wait to see who picks our email group! I certainly need heavenly help to continue to share Our Lady’s messages!!! And it seems that we are really responding to Our Lady’s message about the New Year, since we try to live her messages together through our daily reflections. May we continue to grow in the holiness and joy of Mary’s messages.
God bless you today and tomorrow and every day!! May 2014 be filled with grace and new life for each of us, our families, our countries and the whole world!

Dear Family of Mary!
“Little children, today in a special way, Jesus desires to come to dwell in each of your hearts and to share with you your every joy and pain. Therefore, little children, today in a special way, peer into your hearts and ask yourselves if the peace and joy of the birth of Jesus have truly taken hold of your hearts. Little children, do not live in darkness, aspire towards the light and towards God’s salvation. Children, decide for Jesus and give Him your life and your hearts, because only in this way will the Most High be able to work in you and through you.” (December 25, 2013, Jakov)
This is such a beautiful message. Our Lady shares with us the essence of the Incarnation. Jesus, in His Nativity, desires to come and dwell in each of us. He comes to be one of us. He comes to share with each of us our individual joys and pains. We are no longer alone. Jesus is in each of us, with each of us, united to us intimately, by His love and His presence.
This message reminds me of a simple line in a famous Christmas Hymn, “O Holy Night.” The line is this:
Till he appear’d and the soul felt its worth.
I am always deeply touched by this line. How long has the world struggled under the weight of sin? How long has mankind continued to destroy itself? And how incredible is it that the Son of God would choose to become Son of Man, and join us in this terribly broken world, taking on our pain and sorrow, and our joy as well. This coming of Jesus reveals to each of us the worth of our soul. Our soul is worth the birth, life and death of Jesus!! Our soul is worth being rescued by the Son of God from all evil!!!
And so we can sing this beautiful song together, in deep gratitude to Jesus, who came as Son of Man, Son of Mary, to save us. We can feel our worth, as we embrace our Infant Savior. We can peer into our hearts and ask if the joy of the birth of Jesus has taken hold there. We need the healing light of Jesus’ love in our hearts now, so much.
Here are the words to that beautiful hymn, “O Holy Night”. We can pray them together!
