WHEN I wrote about Revolutiontwo years ago, it was not a word being used much in the mainstream. But today, it is being spoken everywhere… and now, the words “global revolution” are rippling throughout the world. From the “Tea Party” revolution in the United States to the uprisings in the Middle East that are spreading like “a virus,” there is indeed aglobal upheaval underway.

I will rouse Egypt against Egypt: brother will war against brother, neighbour against neighbour, city against city, kingdom against kingdom. (Isaiah 19:2)

But it is a Revolution that has been in the making for a very long time…

Statement by the Christian Association of Nigerian-Americans, CANAN on the 2012 Christmas day attacks by Boko Haram in Nigeria

NEW YORK, Dec. 31, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — We had warned that Boko Haram would continue its tradition of killing Nigerian Christians on Christmas day. Last week marked the third straight year that the terror group has murdered Nigerian Christians in the church on a Christmas day.

But the problem is worse than that. This year alone Boko Haram has killed almost 800 Nigerians, most of whom are Christians. In the last three years, over 3000 have been sent to tragic deaths. Victims also include people from several other countries.

The Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan again over the weekend acknowledged his government’s inability so far to quell the Boko Haram attacks. According to the Associated Press, Jonathan’s remarks offer a glimpse into “the worried leader’s mind as his weak government remains unable to stop attacks by the Boko Haram.”

Our government in Washington DC, especially the White House and the State Department are fully aware of what is going on. But both President Barack Obama and outgoing Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have simply tolerated this impunity by their inaction.

Already, American citizens have been affected, and the United Nations building in Abuja has been attacked by this terrorists. The US Congress have affirmed that Boko Haram is a threat to the US, especially with the group’s suspected links to al-Qaida.

On Christmas day in northern Nigeria, Boko Haram was busy slashing the throats of Christians right inside their churches or at their homes. At least 15 of such barbaric killings have been reported in the past number of days. Worshippers had to watch in terror as their colleagues throats were cut off!

We are asking today: is President Barack Obama and the State Department comfortable to be a mere witness to this evil? Is President Obama not aware that they are cutting the throats of innocent Nigerians who are simply practicing their faith?

In the hope that President Obama is not comfortable with what is going on, we as Nigerian-Americans, are appealing to his humanity to please instruct the State Department to do what is right and to label the Boko Haram group an FTO.

Such a designation would send the warning signal to those financing and supporting the terrorists that the game is up. Without it, Boko Haram financiers and supporters are being dangerously awarded a grant of impunity.

Texas Judge Rules State Can De-Fund Planned Parenthood
A Texas state judge has delivered a ruling in response to the second legal challenge Planned Parenthood has brought against the state for removing the abortion business from its taxpayer-funded women’s health program.

The judge refused today to grant a temporary restraining order allowing Planned Parenthood to rejoin the Texas Women’s Health Program in time for the January launch of it. The judge ruled the program ca move ahead as planned, with out the abortion giant, while its lawsuit continues. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/texas-judge-rules-state-can-de-fund-planned-parenthood/

Abortion Effect: U.S. Seeing Slowest Population Growth Since 1930
After almost 40 years of legalized abortions throughout the United States — and longer in states that okayed abortions pre-Roe — the U.S. population has been decimated to the point that the nation is seeing the lowest population growth since the 1930s.

Abortion has destroyed not only one generation of Americans but a second as well — people who should be boosting the fertility rate in their childbearing years now who were victims of abortions in the 1970s and 1980s. In total, more than 55 million Americans are been victimized by abortions and millions more were never born because their parents were aborted. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/abortion-effect-u-s-seeing-slowest-population-growth-since-1930/

Company Gets Injunction Stopping HHS Mandate Enforcement
In one of the dozens of cases against the pro-abortion HHS mandate under Obamacare,         a company has won a court-ordered injunction against enforcement of the mandate, which goes into effect tomorrow.

The American Center for Law and Justice, a pro-life legal organization that focuses on constitutional law, achieved a significant victory in the legal battle against the mandate         on Friday when a federal appeals court granted an emergency motion for an injunction putting the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate on hold – preventing it from being enforced against an Illinois business and its owners. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/company-gets-injunction-stopping-hhs-mandate-enforcement/

Five Reasons the Obama Abortion-HHS Mandate Should Upset You
As we look back on the past year, we conclude that 2012 is a year that will go down in infamy.

For the first time in history, the government has attempted to force Americans to pay for the ending of human life – even if abortion violates their religious beliefs.

Is International Planned Parenthood Abetting Criminal Activity?
International Planned Parenthood Federation’s Carmen Barroso sent around an e-mail today soliciting year-end donations. She illustrates the role IPPF plays throughout the Western Hemisphere by telling the story of Valeria, a young Argentine woman:

“This year, we provided vital health services to individuals like Valeria, a young Argentine woman who never received sexuality education at home or in school. She suspected she might be pregnant, but wasn’t ready to be a parent. Valeria needed information about her options, and we were there for her.” (Emphasis in original.) http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/is-international-planned-parenthood-abetting-criminal-activity/

Spectacular Images of Fetal Development Now Available as iBook
Both NRLC Director of Education Dr. Randall K. O’Bannon (see below) and myself have written glowing reviews of a book that transformed the way we understand fetal development: “From Conception to Birth: a Life Unfolds.” The author is Alexander Tsiaras.

His work is amazing, but it is hard to give a name to what Tsiaras does. He describes himself a scientist, an artist, and a journalist, but what he has done is to develop scanning and visualization software that enables him to develop rich, 4-D animations of different human body parts, organs, and processes. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/spectacular-images-of-fetal-development-now-available-as-ibook/

Michigan County Denies Planned Parenthood Abstinence Ed Grant
A county in Michigan has denied a $12,000 grant to Planned Parenthood. Ironically, the local affiliate of the nation’s biggest abortion business claimed it wanted to teach abstinence education to young people.

Grand Traverse County Commissioners denied Planned Parenthood’s application for the taxpayer-financed grant to pay for abstinence-based sex education in area schools. The local Traverse City newspaper has additional details. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/michigan-county-denies-planned-parenthood-abstinence-ed-grant/

Surrogacy: Renting Wombs in India Exploits the Powerless
Colonialism used to be about the rich exploiting the resources of other lands. Now, biological colonialism (as I call it) finds well off (mostly) Westerners exploiting destitute people in developing countries for their body parts and functions, essentially using people as natural resources.http://www.lifenews.com/2012/12/31/surrogacy-renting-wombs-in-india-exploits-the-powerless/

The journey of infertility: Walking with the Church
to find solutions, wisdom, and peace
By Jeannie Hannemann, MA

It’s personal. It’s painful. And for the millions of people affected by infertility, it can also be very isolating. For those who have never experienced the sorrow and complexity of this condition, it’s impossible to truly comprehend the degree of suffering it causes. I had considered myself empathetic to those who couldn’t conceive, but I didn’t fully understand what they were going through until it happened to my husband and me.

Despite Sotomayor ruling, Hobby Lobby won’t comply with abortifacient mandate

National Catholic Register

The Christian-owned business Hobby Lobby has indicated it will not comply with the federal abortifacient mandate, despite the threat of massive fines of up to $1.3 million per day after Jan. 1 for non-compliance. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected a request that the federal government temporarily halt enforcement of the federal abortifacient mandate against the Christian-owned business Hobby Lobby, The Associated Press reported Dec. 27.

County officials block Planned Parenthood grant request

Traverse City Record-Eagle

Grand Traverse County Commissioners killed Planned Parenthood’s application for a tribal-generated $12,000 grant to pay for abstinence-based sex education in area schools. Commissioner Jason Gillman rallied other commissioners against the grant application. Gillman said he couldn’t support providing any type of aid to Planned Parenthood of West and Northern Michigan, regardless of the program. “The organization is designed to kill babies,” Gillman said. “The nicer side of it is only there to mask its evil intent. That is to kill babies.”

Planned Parenthood lawsuit dismissed

Omaha World Herald

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by a former clinic director for a Des Moines-based Planned Parenthood affiliate. Sue Thayer claimed in a 2011 lawsuit that Planned Parenthood of the Heartland bills Medicaid for blood tests and other procedures related to elective abortions that are not covered by the government-provided health care plan. Judge James Jarvey said in his order filed Friday that Thayer failed to provide the necessary specifics to prove a fraudulent scheme.

Birth of Jesus

"I am your peace…"

New Year’s Eve

Dear Family of Mary!

Here again is the message given to Marija Pavlovic Lunetti on December 25, 2012:

Our Lady came with little Jesus in her arms and she did not give a message, but little Jesus began to speak and said : "I am your peace, live my commandments." With a sign of the cross, Our Lady and little Jesus blessed us together.

We are all marveling at the perfection and power of this little message from Baby Jesus, given to us on Christmas Day through Marija! It says so very much in so few words. Why? Because Jesus IS the WORD, the Word of God! Everything is summed up in that Word. All Truth, all Hope, all Love, all Power!

Actually, when I sent out the interview between Father Livio and Maria last week, one section was a bit unclear. It was the section about being theologians. Here is a clearer translation sent by Olga:

I went back to the recording, and checked these few sentences, just to make sure (I thought I remembered them differently). I think it may help if I clarify it a little:

"Maria, you are not a theologian so maybe you don’t know but theologians know very well that when Jesus in the Gospel says "I Am", He is claiming Divine Authority – "I Am Who I Am" – and therefore "I Am" is an expression of great Authority".

Thank you, Olga, for the clarification! It makes this message even more powerful!

"I Am" is the name of God, the name He announced to Moses from the burning bush. "I Am" is the Holy Name of Names! Baby Jesus was using His great Name when he spoke to Maria, "I Am"!!!

So, of course, that Name says everything! It is the Name of the Unknowable God, He who is outside of all creation because He is the author of creation! Wow! Such a gift was given to us in those few words.

Of course "I am" is our peace! Jesus is our peace. St. Paul knew this well when he wrote:

Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called the uncircumcision by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands — remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who has made us both one, and has broken down the dividing wall of hostility, by abolishing in his flesh the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby bringing the hostility to an end. And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near; for through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. (Eph 2:11-18)

"For he is our peace…" Jesus is our peace! He has broken down all the barriers between men and between man and God. All has been made right through Jesus. We have only to accept His gift of reconciliation, and live it.

May this New Year of 2013 be a year of reconciliation in Christ, a year in which all the barriers are broken down, all the hostility will cease, all the division will end, and love will abound! May this New Year be the time of the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. May this be the year of peace!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. On New Year’s Day many of us have a tradition to receive a new saint for the year. We pray as a family, and each member draws a saint to be their patron and protector for the year. Mary TV has a printable list of saints, which you can print, cut up and place in a container for the drawing. As Denis says, the saints will be elbowing their way to the front of the line for each of us! Happy New Year to every one!

Here’s an excerpt:

19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 67,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
