In a time when moral relativism seems to have taken over, we look to the past at practices and wonder if they are any indication of what the future has in store. While some practices may have been extreme, even horrifying by most standards, are we doomed to continue these practices? To most people, the slaughtering of innocent babies is horrifying, yet our country accepts that as normal. What more could the future hold?

'The immediate process which brings us to this historic moment began with a Vestry retreat in October 2007, where it was decided unanimously that Mount Calvary should explore the possibility of becoming part of the Roman Catholic Church.' - Rev'd Jason Cantania

I love this kind of Church news. Welcome home dear friends in Christ. May Mother Mary take you all under her mantle of protection. Amen.

Our Lady is the Queen of Peace! She said in one apparition that she “would appear in every home if she has to!” Show thyself, my Mother and my Queen! Bring us to conversion and to your Divine Son, Jesus Christ! We are awaiting the triumph of your Immaculate Heart and the reign of Christ in our hearts! Amen.

It takes only one drink to get me drunk. The trouble is, I can’t remember if it’s the thirteenth or the fourteenth.

Front Royal, Va., Sep 30, 2010 / 01:07 pm (CNA).- Commenting on a recent analysis which shows a jump in the number of cohabitating couples in the U.S., relationship expert and father of seven Anthony Buono said the figures are evidence of individual selfishness and a contraceptive mentality in our culture. Buono argued in remarks to CNA that those who avoid or postpone marriage while living together fail to experience true happiness.

The Denver Post reported last week that the Census Bureau showed a 13 percent increase in the number of opposite-sex unmarried couples who shared living arrangements. The number rose to 7.5 million couples this year as opposed to a 2 percent decrease between 2008 and 2009. According to the Denver paper, demographers suggested that a suffering economy may be contributing to boyfriends and girlfriends seeking to increase financial help from one another.

In commentsto CNA on Wednesday, father of seven and founder of Ave Maria Singles Anthony Buono said that more and more couples living together show how individuals are seeking to enjoy all the benefits of marriage, without the commitment required of marriage.

Im sure none of us have any illusions of couples having the conviction or strength to live together simply to share expenses in a down economy, or to save money together before marriage, or to get to know each other as people so they can determine if they will work out in the long run, Buono added.

Lets face it, couples living together are fornicating, he asserted. Living together falsely legitimizes their ability to have sex whenever they wish.

The cohabitation mentality completely includes a contraceptive mentality, Buono wrote. It is individual selfishness disguised as a good idea that seems to care about the other.

There is so much to be said about how much cohabitation, pre-marital sex, and the use of artificial contraception destroys the person and breaks down society as a whole, he noted. It is a historical fact that the family is the heart of society.

Getting married and having children is what life is all about for the majority of people. Supporting marriage and the children of marriage is what life is about for the rest. Everything else has its place, but they are secondary to this.

Buono continued to say that those avoiding it, preventing it, postponing it, or committed to never do it are really missing the boat to true happiness. Living together has a track record of couples ending their relationship, not getting married.

Let me end by sharing a big plug for marriage and children, since there are so many who feel lifes financial struggles make it an excuse for cohabitating, Buono said. I am married and have seven children.  At tax time, I save a bundle because of all the deductions I have due to all the dependents I have.

I know a family with 12 children who dont even pay income taxes. The large family is the most economical way to go.  The older children help take care of the younger children, and the gift of siblings cannot be underestimated.

Do yourself and society a favor, he stated. Get married and have lots of babies. Become great parents and raise your children to become exceptional adults capable of making a positive difference in the world.

Excellent article! Needs to be sent to all those we know who are not married but living together and also those who are putting off having children. Let’s have more babies!

Title:  Trust Me

To Father Carter and Rita

Jesus:  I call you to be united and working together in intimacy. This will help My work be done, as you grow in greater oneness – as you work as one mind and one heart with the same plan I give you. The devil will try to divide you, he will plant thoughts of division in your mind. Trust Me. You are both to lead one another to greater intimacy with Me through My Mother's most tender heart. Your support for one another is crucial to the deeds you must both accomplish. I am leading you both, separately, and jointly, to accomplish My task, to promote devotion to My Heart through My Mother's Heart.

Your support and love of each other is important for this endeavor. Your love of God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit will grow as you trust one another and open up to the experiences you are having, growing in your relationship with Me. Each person will help the other see the whole picture you need to do this work. Hold not back your experiences with Me. Tell one another your intimate experiences with God. You will both grow in your relationship with Me as you share your experiences with Me. You will lead so many to My Most Sacred Heart. Trust one another and do not give into any promptings of Satan to divide you. Come to My Heart and rest forever there. I am your most loving Jesus, through My Mother's tender heart you will accomplish this task and lead so many to My Heart.

Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow and Mary's Meals

St. Jerome

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Today I am with you and bless you all with my motherly blessing of peace, and I urge you to live your life of faith even more, because you are still weak and are not humble. I urge you, little children, to speak less and to work more on your personal conversion so that your witness may be fruitful. And may your life be unceasing prayer. Thank you for having responded to my call."

(September 25, 2010)

"
Work more on your personal conversion so that your witness may be fruitful."  We don't always associate our witness with our personal conversion.  Our witness seems public, but our conversion seems more private, between me and God.  And yet our witness will bear good fruit only if our conversion is real.  So they are tied together.

One such conversion that is bearing incredible fruit is Craig Lodge in Scotland.  The MacFarlane-Barrow family went to Medjugorje in the early 80's and their whole life changed. They began a house of prayer on their property, and soon hundreds of people were coming to Craig Lodge to pray and find the peace they lacked.  Out of this prayer and peace came an initiative called "Mary's Meals".  Today through SIR (Scotland International Relief) over ½ million starving children all over the world are fed at school every day.  Talk about fruit.

You can read about this remarkable family at www.marysmeals.org!  Also, I want to include a news flash they just sent out in which you can help.

Mary's Meals Extra

Welcome to the Autumn Issue of Mary's Meals Extra, our quarterly e-bulletin for supporters, keeping you up to date with the latest Mary's Meals events and activities.

We want to start by sharing some news that we have only just heard. Magnus, our founder, has been named one of the Top Ten Heroes of 2010 by the TV station CNN.

This international recognition of our work is an honour, and presents a wonderful opportunity to tell more people around the world about the importance of a meal a day, in school, for a hungry child.

We hope that you will help us by sharing the link to the film about Magnus at www.cnn.com/heroes and casting your vote for the Hero of the Year.

The CNN Heroes programme aims to promote "everyday people who are doing extraordinary things". Magnus' initial nomination in the summer had a big impact on Mary's Meals which you can read more about that in this issue of Mary's Meals Extra. http://www.marysmeals.org/PDF/Marys-Meals-EXTRA-Issue7.pdf

Please vote for Magnus, because if he wins, Mary's Meals will receive a big donation!  I see in Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow a good example of a personal conversion that is bearing fruit in his witness.  You can read about Magnus and his family on their website also.

God bless you all and please say a quick prayer for me, I have a bad cold!!

In Jesus and Mary!

www.DefundAbortion.org Launches a Common Sense Pledge to Unite Our Nation

CINCINNATI, Sept. 30 /Christian Newswire/ — Common Sense Issues, Inc., a 501(c)(4) grassroots citizens organization dedicated to pro-Life, limited government principles, has launched www.DefundAbortion.org.

The site features a simple pledge that every federal officeholder can sign promising no taxpayer funding of abortions — a position with which a super-majority of Americans agrees. If an elected official or candidate is unwilling to make this promise:

  • They cannot be trusted to cut spending when it comes to truly tough choices if they will not make this easy choice;

  • They do not understand that protecting and valuing life — every life — is foundational to who we are, how we treat one another, and our very freedom;

  • They choose to ignore the skyrocketing government debt threatening America; and,

  • They believe it is their right to force Americans, whose faith and conscience condemns the taking of life, to fund with their tax dollars the very act they abhor.

Citizens can download the www.DefundAbortion.org pledge and ask U.S. House and U.S. Senate Members and candidates everywhere to sign it. The pledge can also be easily signed electronically in a matter of seconds. The website has an easy-to-use map allowing citizens to click on a state and see what officials or candidates have signed the pledge. Indeed, several federal officeholders and candidates have already found the site and signed the pledge. Please go to www.DefundAbortion.org to learn more.

September 30, 2010

This morning after Mass we restarted our Marian Movement of Priests Prayer Cenacle at St. Mary of the Lakes Parish in Eustis, Florida. I actually started this group back about 5 years ago and we held the Cenacle on Friday mornings after Mass, but because of my working hours, I had to give up being the moderator. A wonderful lady, Adelyne, wife of Deacon Klein (R.I.P.+)  continued as moderator until this year when she told me because of her age (93), she couldn’t do it any more. So I asked our new pastor, Fr. Gilbert, if I could restart the group on Thursday mornings and he agreed. He loves having people praying the Rosary!

Normally, we would have the meeting down in the church hall, which is below the main church building but I found out just yesterday that  the Thursday Bible Study Group was meeting there at 8:45 AM. What confused me was that the location of the Bible Study Group was listed in the church bulletin as being held in the church Center, which is in another building, where  the Religious Education classes are held.

We had four of us, three men and one lady, today and we held our Cenacle in the church, sitting in the pews near the tabernacle. Actually, I liked this better because we were in the Lord’s Presence while we prayed and also  we could gaze on the large statue of Our Lady of Grace which is in the far side of the church. Also behind the altar is a large stained glass picture of Jesus, Mary and Joseph on the road to Egypt, guided by a Angel. This is also another treat for the eyes and good for meditations.

Our format consists of: A hymn to the Holy Spirit, the Holy Rosary, Prayers for the Pope and his intentions, 3 hail Mary’s for Fr. Gobbi and all priests, especially our pastor and his assistants, a reading from the book, “To The Priests, Our Lady’s beloved Sons,” (All the Messages of Our Lady  to Fr. Gobbi from 1973 to 1997), a short meditation by me, a short fraternal chat amongst us about the Message read, the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Prayer, and ending with the hymn “Immaculate Mary.”

I was overjoyed to be with these prayer warriors and I know Our lady was happy too, because She is the one who requested that we should have these Prayer Cenacles everywhere, in churches and in homes. Families can gather to pray, especially Our Lady wants the children to be involved and even have Cenacles just for them.

I would love to have any of you who can get to St. Mary's on Thursday mornings, to join us in our prayers and consecration.  For those of you who live far away from Central Florida, why not start a Cenacle where you are, in your home or church. Remember to get your pastors permission to start a group in church. At home or a friends home, you don't need one. It's important to have a priest or deacon moderator or spiritual guide but not necessary to start a Cenacle. Only a priest or deacon can give a meditation after the reading of the Message. You can get a Blue Book and other materials free at http://www.mmp-usa.net/main.html

Thank You, Jesus and Mary, for a wonderful day!
