First Plaintiff Beats Obama HHS-Abortion Mandate in Court
A federal court issued an order Friday that halts enforcement of the Obama administration s abortion pill mandate against a Colorado family-owned business while an Alliance Defending Freedom lawsuit challenging the mandate continues in court. The decision only applies to the company, and the court emphasized the ruling did not apply nationwide.

The mandate has generated massive opposition from pro-life groups because it forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/obama-hhs-abortion-mandate-halted-by-federal-court/

House Votes Tuesday to Stop Unlimited Abortions in Nation s Capital
The House of Representatives will vote on Tuesday on legislation that would stop the policy of unlimited abortions for any reason throughout the entirety of pregnancy in the nation s capital.

The legislation, the District of Columbia Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (H.R. 3803), is strongly backed by the National Right to Life Committee and leading pro-life organizations. NRLC supports the bill, saying it would end the current legal policy allowing abortion, for any reason, until the moment of birth in the nation s capital. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/house-votes-tuesday-to-stop-unlimited-abortions-in-nations-capital/

National Poll Has Mitt Romney Ahead of Obama By Five Percent
The political world is abuzz today about a new poll released by Rasmussen Reports showing Mitt Romney five percentage points ahead of pro-abortion President Barrack Obama in the race for the White House.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney attracting 49% of the vote, while President Obama earns support from 44%. Three percent (3%) prefer some other candidate, and four percent (4%) are undecided. The numbers are similar to the 49% to 43% advantage Romney enjoys on the question of who is trusted more to handle the economy the issue driving the 2012 presidential election. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/national-poll-has-mitt-romney-ahead-of-obama-by-five-percent/

Margaret Sanger Named One of 20 Most Influential Americans Ever
Influence is neutral. By itself it means having a profound effect on something, but that something can be good or bad. Therefore, I can t argue with Time Magazine s list of The 20 Most Influential Americans of All Time that happens to include the person who has most influenced the destruction of humanity, Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger.

I have to agree with Time s assessment that she is one of the most influential Americans of all time because her negative influence has been responsible for the deaths of millions, far exceeding that of Hitler s influence in World War II, whom we usually cite as an example of a single person directly responsible for millions of deaths. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/margaret-sanger-named-one-of-20-most-influential-americans-ever/

Romney Camp Unveils VP Hints, Abortion Advocates Complain
The head of the Romney campaign s vice=presidential candidate vetting effort unveiled hints today about the potential selection the Republican candidate may make to assist him in defeating pro-abortion President Barack Obama.

Romney aide Beth Myers on Friday tweeted what many political observers say is a list of the potential running mate prop sects. Normally, on Fridays, people on twitter send out a list of their favorite twitter accounts they suggest others follow, called Follow Friday. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/romney-camp-unveils-vp-hints-abortion-advocates-complain/

Senate Disabilities Treaty Presents Abortion Concerns
It s the latest threat to parents rights that no one knows about and yesterday, the Senate moved one step closer to making it the law of the land. Like most U.N. treaties, this one sounds harmless enough.

But make no mistake its innocuous name, Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), masks a cunning attack on parental authority, unborn life, and U.S. sovereignty. Of course, this is a favorite strategy of liberal administrations: using treaties to get radical policies through the country s backdoor. In this instance, it would bring our nation even closer to President Obama s apparent goal of putting America under global governance. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/senate-disabilities-treaty-presents-abortion-concerns/

American Cancer Society Continues Defending Planned Parenthood Grants
The American Cancer Society s grants to Planned Parenthood to improve the health of the unborn fetus is about as practical as the Susan G. Komen Foundation s hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of grants to the abortion giant for the imaginary mammograms Planned Parenthood offers.

Yes, Planned Parenthood does deliver babies about 330,000 every year. The catch is these babies are delivered through a vacuum piece by piece, sucked into a jar, and thrown out as medical waste in the name of choice. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/american-cancer-society-continues-defending-planned-parenthood-grants/

Huge Medicaid Fraud Case Against Planned Parenthood Continues
A huge lawsuit filed by a former top officially with Planned Parenthood s California affiliate is continuing as the law firm representing him and his case concerning its massive Medicaid fraud is heading to an appeals cour. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/huge-medicaid-fraud-case-against-planned-parenthood-continues/

100 Days to the Election: Pro-Lifers Get Involved NOW
There are just 100 days left until the presidential election that leading pro-life groups say could impact the legality of abortion in the United States for another 40 years. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/100-days-to-the-election-pro-lifers-get-involved-now/

Assisted Suicide Backers Confident They ll Win in Massachusetts
Massachusetts is the latest battleground over euthanasia with an initiative on the ballot in November to adopt a statute similar to those in Oregon and Washington, which allow physicians to prescribe suicide for their patients. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/assisted-suicide-backers-confident-theyll-win-in-massachusetts/

Prenatal Testing: A Double-Edged Sword Leading to Abortion
Peering into the womb and glimpsing the developing new life within is an exhilarating experience made possible through ultrasound technology. Yet the marvels of ultrasound are meant for more than allowing parents to lovingly gaze upon their unborn child. This is a powerful, non-invasive tool for diagnosing numerous medical conditions, some of which can be corrected prior to birth. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/prenatal-testing-a-double-edged-sword-leading-to-abortion/

Important Court Ruling Assures Women Can Know Abortion Risks
The increased risk for suicide for women who experience abortion was front and center in a pivotal court ruling this week. United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit upheld an important provision in a 2005 South Dakota informed consent statute. The provision at issue requires that physicians seeking to perform an abortion inform the patient of the increased risk of suicide and suicidal ideation attendant to the procedure. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/important-court-ruling-assures-women-can-know-abortion-risks/

War on Women: Planned Parenthood Denies Info on Abortion Risks
South Dakota is doing everything it can to let downtrodden pregnant women know there are better, healthier options than abortion. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/war-on-women-planned-parenthood-denies-info-on-abortion-risks/

Out of Australia comes breaking news in the case of abortionist Adrienne Freeman. Freeman, an obstetrician, set up a website instructing women how to abort at home, as well as how to obtain the abortion pill RU-486 without a prescription. Freeman was found guilty of unprofessional conduct, but unfortunately, she won t lose her medical license. http://www.lifenews.com/2012/07/27/australia-doctor-guilty-of-creating-do-it-yourself-abortion-site/
