House Votes to Repeal Pro-Abortion, Pro-Rationing Obamacare
The House of Representatives voted today to repeal the Obamacare health care law that fund abortions and prompts concerns about rationed health care.
The House voted 244-184 for repeal (vote breakdown here). Republicans strongly supported repealing the Obamacare bill, voting 239 to 0 to do so, while Democrats strongly opposed repealing the pro-abortion bill, voting 184-5 against repeal.
ObamaCare takes away from patients the ability to make their own decisions and individual choices. Instead of letting patients and their families work with their doctors to decide the best care, ObamaCare puts Washington in the driver s seat to make health care choices for them and their family. Taking away choice, driving up costs and making health care dramatically more expensive is not the prescription that Americans asked for, House Republican Leader Eric Cantor said during debate.
New Case: Woman Forcibly Aborted in China at Eight Months
A human rights group that is one of the leading organizations monitoring the one-child policy in China reports that yet another case has been made public this time of a woman who was forcibly aborted at eight months of pregnancy.
ChinaAid has learned that on April 6, 2012, in Xianyou county, Fujian province, which is notorious for its forced abortions, Wu Liangjie s wife was forcibly detained and abducted to a hospital. There, her eight-month old unborn child became a victim of a brutal forced abortion.
Radicals Try to Eject Pro-Lifer From Family Planning Summit
The pro-abortion radicals meeting in London to promote population control at the Family Planning Summit sponsored by Melinda Gates, attempted to kick out a pro-life advocate who was there to attend and monitor the event.
Security forces at the Melinda Gates Family Planning Summit approached Wendy Wright, a representative of the pro-life group C-FAM, and demanded to know how she got into the event. Pro-abortion representatives at the conference recognized Wright and accused her of sneaking into the summit.
Congressional Bill Would Gut Pro-Abortion HHS Mandate
A new bill filed by pro-life lawmakers in the House would gut the HHS mandate included in Obamacare that forces religious groups to pay for or refer women for abortion-causing drugs and birth control.
Representative Jim Sensenbrenner, a Wisconsin Republican and former chair of the House Judiciary Committee, introduced the Religious Freedom Tax Repeal Act at a press conference. He said the legislation aims to stop the Obama Administration from taxing religious institutions for choosing to follow core tenets of their faith rather than bow to the HHS mandate that violates their conscience rights.
Pro-Abortion Women s Group Endorses Obama s Re-Election
A leading pro-abortion women s group announced its endorsement of pro-abortion President Barack Obama today. NOW, the National Organization of Women, which has been steadfastly pro-abortion for decades, backed Obama but said relatively little about his lengthy pro-abortion record.
It is with great pride that I announce today, on behalf of the nation s oldest and largest grassroots women s rights organization, that the National Organization for Women Political Action Committee endorses President Barack Obama for re-election as president of the United States, said NOW/PAC Chair Terry O Neill.
China Pays $11K to Woman Victimized by Forced Abortion
Chinese officials have paid $11,000 to a woman forced to have an abortion seven months into her pregnancy, according to her attorney. The lawyer said the woman appreciated the financial compensation but said nothing would make up for the forced abortion and the taking of her baby s life.
The forced abortion sparked international outrage as the picture of Feng Jianmei and the body of her aborted baby lying next to her in a hospital bed circulated the Internet.
